How much cloth do you need to cover your billiard table?

Covering the playing surface alone is not rocket science for those with manual skills. Feel free to call us or visit our shop. We'll be happy to give you tips and tricks. Covering the cushions, however, is quite difficult. For this, we recommend that you simply use our services.

Based on experience, choosing the right amount of billiard cloth is not easy for laypeople. Regarding the correct amount of cloth, the following rule of thumb applies for a cloth width of 165 cm: You need the playing field length plus approx. 30 cm for the overlap. Example: an 8-foot billiard table has a playing field of 224 x 112 cm. So 224 cm plus 30 cm equals 254 cm. Since you have to work very precisely, we recommend planning for a reserve and ordering a little more, i.e. 260 cm. If the cushions are also to be re-covered in addition to the playing field, please order 100 cm more for this.

Simonis 760 compared to Simonis 860:

Official tournaments are usually played on Simonis 860. The Simonis 860 has a slightly better grip due to its higher wool content. Experience shows that the 860 wears out faster than the 760 - so for private use at home, we tend to recommend Simonis 760.
